Long Covid or Post Covid-19 syndrome is a term that already worries and will continue to concern healthcare systems even after the critical phase of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is a multisystem disease that describes long-term health consequences, weeks or even months after the illness and includes symptoms that last more than 4 weeks after an acute infection.

As we have already mentioned, the syndrome of Long Covid or Post Covid -19 is diagnosed a few weeks after the beginning of Covid-19 symptoms, with the specific indications being a continuation of the acute phase symptoms, meaning they are still present.
According to the recent studies, 10-35% of people aged 18-49 who have been infected with the Covid-19 virus show long-term symptoms, while in people who are over 70 years old it can reach 85%.
